Permanent Resident Criteria
The option will depend on a number of factors based on your individual situation. There are few things to consider:
Where in Canada would you like to settle?
Each province operates their own program and requirements would vary according to province
How much settlement funds do you have?
You are required to have settlement funds based on the size of your family
What is your current occupation and kind of work do you plan to do when you move to Canada??
To qualify for permanent residency, you would have had experience in a particular National Occupation Code (NOC)
Can you speak English or French?
In order to be eligible for permanent residency for some programs, you would have to be able to demonstrate minimum language abilities
